When is the deadline for registration?

Registration is open until April 26, 2026, provided that spots are still available. 

Can I cancel my registration?

No, unfortunately you cannot cancel your registration. However, you can transfer your registration to a friend, colleague, or acquaintance. You’ll find the link to update your information in your registration confirmation. You can do this for free until April 26.

Can I make a change to my information, such as a name change?

If you wish to correct your personal information or replace your details with those of another runner or walker, you will find the link to update your information in your registration confirmation. You can do this free of charge until April 26. 

I didn't receive a confirmation of registration. What should I do now?

You can download your registration confirmation immediately after signing up.

If that doesn’t help either, please contact office@oesterreichischer-frauenlauf.at by April 26, and we’ll resend it to you. All subsequent inquiries will be handled at the Help Desk during the event weekend.

I accidentally deleted or lost my registration confirmation.

That can happen. Please contact us at office@oesterreichischer-frauenlauf.at by April 26 with your name and, if possible, your reference number. We’ll send it to you again.

I missed the registration deadline. Is it possible to register after the official online registration deadline?

We are fully booked, so late registration is no longer possible, but you can add your name to the waiting list. Late registration fee: +€12 on top of the highest registration fee. All information about registering for the ASICS Austrian Women's Run

Where can I select the size of my T-shirt?

You can choose your T-shirt size on May 30, 2026, between 9:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. at the T-shirt pickup location. Even if you’ve already customized a T-shirt online, you’ll need to select your size in person. You can choose a size that fits you from XXS to XXXL.

Where do I redeem my race entry voucher?

Under section 6 of the registration form: CODE, TERMS & CONDITIONS, CANCELLATION, you can enter your starting spot voucher in the “Code Number” field to redeem it directly. Please make sure not to press “Back,” as this will cause the voucher to be marked as redeemed.

My starting spot voucher is invalid. Why?

Please note that your code may only be entered once. If you encounter any issues, please contact office@oesterreichischer-frauenlauf.at by April 20, 2026, at the latest.

What if I get sick or am unable to attend at the last minute?

If you get sick or are unable to attend, you can transfer your spot to a friend or acquaintance. Please note that a name change is required.  

You can also purchase cancellation insurance for just EUR 3.50 during the online registration process. A refund of the entry fee is only possible if you purchase the cancellation insurance offered during registration and in accordance with the associated insurance terms and conditions.

You received a link for making personal changes in your registration confirmation. This is possible until April 26.

How much does it cost to participate? Are there different entry fee tiers?

Yes, early registration pays off! The following participation fees apply depending on the registration period:

Is there a limit on the number of participants?

The number of participants in our race is limited to 30,000. So be sure to register quickly and in good time before all the spots are taken.

Where, how, and when can I get the ASICS Austrian Women's Run T-shirt?

You’ll receive it when you pick up your race number on race weekend (May 30 and 31, 2026). After successfully picking up your race number envelope, you can collect your goodie bag and your exclusive Women’s Run T-shirt at a separate pickup station outside the tent.

You received a link to update your personal information in your registration confirmation. You can do this until April 26.

Race Number Pickup & Boutique

Can I have my race number mailed to me?

No, unfortunately—only virtual participants can have their race numbers sent to them in advance by mail.

Where can I pick up my race number?

You can pick up your race number and any items you ordered at the race number pickup tent on Pierre-de-Coubertin Square on Saturday, May 30, 2026, between 9:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., and on Sunday (May 31) from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.

What documents do I need to present when picking up my race number?

You will need your pickup confirmation, which should be emailed to you a few days before the race. Please also bring a photo ID.

How do I receive my pickup confirmation?

You should receive your pickup confirmation via email a few days before the race. If you haven’t received it, please check your spam folder. If that doesn’t help, please send a quick email to office@oesterreichischer-frauenlauf.at. 

Can someone else pick up my race number for me?

Yes, your race number can also be picked up by a friend, colleague, or family member. To do so, they will need the authorization form (which will be sent to you via email along with the pickup confirmation) and a copy of your photo ID.

What time does race number pickup close?

Race packet pickup is open on Saturday (May 30) from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

For participants from out of town or other states, race packet pickup is also available on Sunday from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Please allow extra time for this so you can be at the starting line on time.

Where can I pick up the items I ordered?

You will receive the items you ordered during registration after picking up your race packet at the ASICS tent on the festival grounds.

Can I pick up my race number on the Sunday before the race?

Yes, if you’re not from Lower Austria, Burgenland, or Vienna, you can also pick up your race number on the Sunday before the race. The race number pickup desk is only open from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. Please plan to pick up your race number on Saturday so you don’t arrive late at the starting line.

Is there a children’s program on site?

Yes, there are plenty of attractions on the festival grounds, such as game stations, a bouncy castle, and a climbing tower. Fun for all ages 😊

In addition, our kids’ race will take place on Saturday, May 30. You can find all the details at https://kinderlauf.at/.

Raceday

What race distances can I choose from? How long is each race?

With us, you can choose between the classic 5 km running route, a 10 km running route, or a 5 km Nordic walking route, and set your own pace. All of our routes are loops. Have fun!

Where does the ASICS Austrian Women’s Run take place?

The ASICS Austrian Women's Run takes place in Vienna's lush Prater park. All the action happens at the Stadionbad parking lot and Pierre de Coubertin Square. If you can't make it in person, you can also participate virtually.

When does the ASICS Austrian Women’s Run start?

Depending on which race you're running, you'll start either earlier or later. Your exact start time is listed on your race number. Here's a rough overview:          

5 kilometers (Start: 9:00 a.m.)

10 kilometers (Start: 10:25 a.m.)

5 kilometers Nordic walking (Start: 11:05 a.m.)

How far is it from the subway station to the event venue?

The subway station is about a 5-minute walk from the event venue. Take the U2 subway line to the STADION station. From there, it’s just a 200-meter walk across Olympiaplatz directly to the event venue.

What’s the difference between Saturday and Sunday?

On Saturday, you can pick up your race number and T-shirt and then spend the day at the festival grounds. Among the wheels of fortune, product samples, and exhibitors where you can learn about your health, you’ll also find informational talks, yoga, a festive atmosphere, and much more. A climbing tower also rises up on the festival grounds, tempting you to give it a try. Plus, kids can participate in the kids’ race.

Sunday is race day, featuring a warm-up and other great activities, such as the elite winners’ ceremony starting at 12:30 p.m., followed by the winners’ ceremony for all age groups and plenty of live music.

When and where does Austria’s biggest awards ceremony take place?

9:30 a.m.            Flower Ceremony (at the finish line)
12:30 p.m.          Awards ceremony for the 5 km Elite Race & recognition of the top                                      Austrian female runners in the U16, U18, U20, and U23 categories                                     (Women’s Run Stage)

Where can I pick up my goodie bag?

You can pick up your goodie bag at our festival grounds during the following times:

SATURDAY, May 30, 2026: Time: 9:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.
SUNDAY, May 31, 2026: Time: 7:30–8:30 a.m. (PLEASE NOTE: Please allow for possible wait times so that you arrive in time for the start)

What are pacemakers?

These are runners who set a specific or desired pace during a running event, allowing other runners to follow along and reach the finish line within their target time. At the ASICS Austrian Women’s Run, we provide pacemakers for the 10K race. There will be pacemakers for paces ranging from 40 to 80 minutes.

Are there pacemakers?

Yes, pacers are only available for the 10K race. You can find information about the target finish times for which pacers will be available in our program booklet, which will be available on our website starting in May.

Can I accompany my friend on a bike?

No, for safety reasons, you are not allowed to ride your bike on board. 

Can I inline skate?

No, inline skating is prohibited for safety reasons.

Can I bring my own drinks?

Yes, drinks are allowed. However, we will also provide drinks from our sponsors, Vöslauer and Gatorade (10 km), along the course.

How do I find my starting block?

Your starting block is indicated on your race number, which you can pick up on Saturday.

When do I need to be at my starting block?

Your pickup confirmation specifies exactly when you should be in your starting block.

Can I change my starting block?

You can have your starting block changed on-site (at the race number pickup tent near the Help Desk: Saturday & Sunday) for a fee of 10 euros.

Please note that if you do not re-register, you may start in a LATER starting block—such as the one printed on your race number—without being disqualified.

Do I have to start in the starting block assigned to me?

Yes and no.

You MUST NOT start in an earlier starting block—such as the one printed on your race number—otherwise you will unfortunately be disqualified.

However, you may start in a later starting block—such as the one printed on your race number—without being disqualified.

Example: If you are in starting block E, you may NOT start in A, B, C, or D. However, you may start in E, F, G, H, etc.

What happens if I start in the wrong starting block?

If you start in an earlier starting block—such as the one printed on your race number—you will unfortunately be disqualified.

If you start in a later one—such as the one printed on your race number—nothing will happen, and you will be ranked as usual.

Can I participate if I’m pregnant?

Yes, if your doctor gives you the go-ahead, you can participate with us even while you're pregnant.

Can I bring my child in a stroller?

No, for safety reasons, we unfortunately cannot allow strollers. However, you are more than welcome to bring your child in a baby carrier.

How do I get to the event grounds?
SUBWAY

Take the U2 subway line to the STADION station. From there, it’s just a short 200-meter walk across Olympiaplatz directly to the event grounds.

When arriving and departing, please use only the designated event entrances and exits at the Stadion subway station. To ensure everything runs quickly and smoothly, we ask that you do not use the station area as a meeting place.

BUS


Take tram line 1 to the terminal stop “Prater Hauptallee”; from there, it’s about a 1-kilometer walk to the festival grounds.

On May 31, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Line 1 will operate on a shortened route and terminate at the Hintere Zollamtstraße station.

CAR

Park near a subway station and use public transportation for the final leg of your journey.

For organizational reasons, Meiereistraße and Stadionallee will be closed between Vorgartenstraße and Lusthausstraße on May 30 & 31, 2026! Illegally parked vehicles will be towed at the owner’s expense! No parking on May 31, 2026: Lusthausstraße, Rustenschacherallee, Rotundenallee, parts of Stadionallee, and around the Lusthaus.

Is there parking available?

No, please walk, bike, or take public transportation.

Is there a clothing drop-off or coat check on site?

Yes. For security reasons, clothing may only be checked in using the official clothing bag (dimensions: 45 x 50 cm). You can order this bag during registration and will receive it when you pick up your race number. If you need a clothing bag but did not order one, you can purchase one for €2.00 at the festival grounds.

Good to know: The clothing bag can be reused in future years!

The clothing drop-off will be open on Sunday, May 31, 2026, in Sector F of the Ernst Happel Stadium from 7:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.

Are there restrooms at the event venue, and if so, where?

Yes, there are actually quite a few. The way to each restroom is clearly marked.

Is there food and drink available at the festival grounds?

From early Saturday morning until Sunday afternoon, you can look forward to a wide variety of food options at the festival grounds.

Whether it’s breakfast or lunch, cold or hot, sweet or savory—with such a wide selection, there’s something for everyone.

Of course, vegetarians and vegans among you don’t need to worry either; you’ll also find delicious options at the food trucks.

I have more questions—where can I find the info desk during the race weekend?

There is a large information desk in front of the race number distribution tent, where we will be happy to answer any questions you may have.

Procedure for Cancellations

What should I do if I need to cancel?

Cancellation is only possible if you purchased cancellation insurance during the registration process.

If you did not purchase cancellation insurance, you can transfer your registration by updating your information.

Every claim must be reported immediately, but no later than 48 hours after the event occurs, via email with the subject line “Women’s Run Cancellation Insurance” to the following email address:  unfallschaden@ergo-versicherung.at

The following documents and information must be attached to the claim:

Registration confirmation for the ASICS Austrian Women’s Run
Documents and confirmations substantiating the claim (e.g., medical certificate)
Bank details (IBAN) and address of the payee
 

Can I make a data change?

Elite

Where can I sign up for the Elite program?

The elite field is personally invited by the organizers. If you are a fast athlete and meet our qualifying standards, please contact us at athletes@oesterreichischer-frauenlauf.at.

Are the two courses (5 km and 10 km) AIMS-certified?

Yes

Virtual race

How can I participate online?

You can also participate virtually in the ASICS Austrian Women’s Run via our app. However, you must register beforehand.

Here’s how to participate virtually:

When registering, select the virtual edition.
You will receive all the details about the virtual race via email shortly.
During registration, you can choose to have your race packet mailed to you. However, you can also pick it up yourself or have someone else pick it up on your behalf with a power of attorney when race numbers are distributed on Saturday, May 30, 2026.
From May 30 at 12:00 a.m. until May 31, 2026, at 11:59 p.m., complete the 5 km or 10 km run at a location of your choice and track the distance covered using our Women’s Run app or your own GPS tracker. After your run, the Women’s Run app will automatically upload your result. You can also enter your finish time manually in the results list. We’ll send you the upload link in advance.
Your digital certificate is available for download, and you already have your commemorative medal in your hands—because every participant is a winner!

How do I get my T-shirt as a virtual participant?

As a virtual participant, you can either pick up your shirt yourself (Saturday, May 30, 2026), have a friend pick it up on your behalf with a power of attorney, or have it mailed to you in advance.

Can I have my T-shirt personalized as a virtual participant?

Yes, virtual participants can also have their T-shirts personalized.

As a virtual attendee, will I also receive a goodie bag?

You have the option to pick up the full kit in person on Saturday, provided you selected this option during the registration process. However, we will not mail the complete kit to you.
